The Specialist Domestic Abuse Practitioner will work as part of a multi-agency team to provide a high-quality frontline and first point of contact service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering an immediate co-ordinated response to those at high, medium and standard risk, prioritising those at highest risk of serious harm., The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

You will carry out initial screening, complete safety planning, and provide ongoing emotional and practical support to victims/ survivors. Victims/survivors views and needs are the focus of the service, ensuring that their safety, wellbeing, and freedom sits at the core of all work that we do

You will make proactive contact with perpetrators of domestic abuse and use motivational interviewing to encourage them to address their abusive behaviours by accessing our in-house Spotlight Programme

To have experience working in domestic abuse and its impact on victims/survivors, including children and young people
