What You Will Do:

  • Develop physically accurate digital materials using advanced shading networks and a deep understanding of real-world materials.
  • Capture physical references for digital reproduction, utilising your expertise in photography, optics, and digital scanning techniques.
  • Create complex textures and materials using industry-leading tools such as VRay Renderer, Autodesk Maya, Unreal Engine, and Adobe Substance Designer.
  • Manage and maintain the material library, ensuring compliance with technical standards and improving workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality 3D visualisation models for on-board and off-board CGI use cases.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of textures and materials delivered by the team.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven expertise in material/shader creation, with a number of years of experience in the CGI industry.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong understanding of 3D model topology, UV mapping, and the use of UDIMs.
  • Experience working to defined processes and technical standards, with a track record of designing and implementing workflow improvements.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
