An Assistant Management Accountant required for rapidly expanding business in Southampton
Your new company
You will be working for a large, rapidly growing organisation who through growth, are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team.
Your new role
Prepare, review, organise and help train on the delivery of key services, including but not limited to:
- Bookkeeping for all transactions and activity across your division
- Preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS or UK GAAP including supporting files and review of work produced by the team where applicable
- Compile and analyse financial information underlying the financial statements, including the treatment of business transactions
- The preparation of management accounts
- Preparation of VAT data and VAT returns
- Cash flow statements, cash flow forecasts and cash monitoring
- The production of quarterly reporting
- Responding to queries
- Dealing with year-end audit engagements including preparation of relevant files, managing timelines, and resolving issues
- Monitoring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Day to day management and leadership of team deliverables and organisation
- Coaching, leadership, and training for your team (once up and running)
What you’ll need to succeed
- ACCA or CIMA Part qualified or studying
- A strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS or other relevant accounting standards
- Ability to perform tasks, calculations and communicate clearly in Excel, word and other professional packages.
- Strong Excel knowledge is required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to build lasting, professional and effective relationships
