I am seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and experienced Stores Supervisor to join a leading manufacturer in the aerospace and defence industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in warehouse operations, strong mathematical skills for record balancing, and a track record of leading teams to meet business requirements.

As Stores Supervisor, you will oversee the receipt, storage, handling, distribution, and dispatch of products while ensuring a safe, quality, cost efficient, and streamlined product flow. Your leadership will be key in managing inventory control, coordinating cross-training for the stores team, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory control through continuous inventory checks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and customer-specific regulations.
  • Coordinate a team to ensure efficient resource management and minimise disruptions caused by absences.
  • Oversee the inbound, storage and distribution processes guarantee timely and accurate kitting for production.
  • Manage traceability and labelling of goods which includes internal batch numbers.
  • Supervise day to day operations of the stores team, maintaining records and managing a smooth coordination between production, suppliers, and customers.
  • Take on special projects or additional duties as directed by the Materials Manager.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with MRP systems, pick lists, lot traceability, and serialisation.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
  • At least 3 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role within stores or warehouse operations.
