Job Description

You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the operations of the Building Maintenance Section of Place Services. This includes maintenance and investment contracts, reflecting Best Value, legislative and financial requirements of the Service, statutory obligations, service delivery targets, and strategic objectives. You will be required to take decisions or actions in accordance with the Council’s Scheme of Delegation, liaising closely with client services to ensure that a high level of performance and quality of service is achieved.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Construction-related degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  2. Property Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
  3. Membership of the Institute of Maintenance and Building Management.
  4. Significant experience in Senior Management and project management with strong commercial acumen.
  5. Ability to manage and lead projects involving the reallocation of staff and financial resources.
  6. Advanced computer and IT skills.
