I am currently recruiting for a Global Chemical Manufacturing Client for the below position on a temporary basis while we recruit for the role on a permanent basis. applicants who are available on a temporary basis but interested in a permanent role are welcome to apply; Job Title: Site Maintenance Manager Location: Teesside Job Purpose The Site Maintenance Manager will provide professional expertise in Site Maintenance Management, ensuring plant operational efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness within budget constraints. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage a multi-discipline maintenance team, liaise with contractors, and drive improvements in safety and performance. Key Responsibilities * Oversee and ensure the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance schedules. * Lead a multi-discipline maintenance team, assigning tasks and providing technical guidance. * Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and plant personnel to scope, install, and execute projects to site standards. * Monitor maintenance performance and identify opportunities for improvement in safety and operational efficiency. * Maintain accurate site records of maintenance activities, including equipment specifications, repairs, inspections, and downtime. * Prepare and provide maintenance reports, including KPIs such as plant/equipment downtime, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR). * Ensure the availability of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies while balancing cost control and downtime risk reduction. * Support the planning and execution of CAPEX programme projects. * Ensure all maintenance activities comply with corporate, departmental, and legislative requirements. * Collaborate with other Area Maintenance Managers to optimise total maintenance performance across Teesside manufacturing operations. * Attend Safety and Outage Event meetings, as well as customer-specific health and safety training sessions. Required Competencies & Qualifications * Foundation Degree in Engineering or equivalent. * Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Maintenance and Operations. * Experience working in COMAH-regulated Chemical or Petrochemical plants. * Strong leadership and teamwork skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). * Extensive experience in Chemical & Polymers Projects (Greenfield and Brownfield). * Significant maintenance experience across multiple trades. Reporting & Compliance * The Site Maintenance Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Maintenance. * Responsible for ensuring all maintenance work adheres to legal and corporate standards, procedures, and best practices. * Accountable for maintaining compliance with clients Operations Management System (OMS) and Maintenance Procedures (MPs)
