Role
This is a full-time on-site role for a Corporate Finance Analyst at FRP Corporate Finance in Leeds. The Corporate Finance Analyst will work with the Leeds CF team and wider FRP Corporate Finance group and have responsibility for managing clients and other professionals in the support of transactions such as preparation of business plans, information memorandum and supporting financial information.
Key Duties
- Support team members on deals, whilst seeking development guidance from more senior members of the team as appropriate
- Researching and summarising rationale for buyers for disposal mandates and targets for buyside mandates
- Researching valuations for disposal and buyside mandates
- Identifying targets for buyside mandates
- Approaching buyers on sell-side mandates with supervision by senior team members
- Managing your own workload and keeping other team members informed of progress
- Taking an active role in team business development activities and networking alongside other team members
Client Work
- Prepare transaction documents (IM, Business Plan, Offer summaries etc) in conjunction with and for review by more senior team members
- Preparation of financial models using Excel
- Develop experience of both buy-side and sell-side mandates
- Provide a point of contact throughout the engagement with respect to project management, including issues and Q&A
- Accompany more senior team members to meetings with clients and assist with the preparation for and follow-up from such meetings
- Develop understanding of when to ask more senior team members for help and time management on projects
Business Development
- Attend networking events and begin to develop own network of peers
- Assist senior team members with business development and marketing activities
- Support with production of pitch documents, including collating research on valuations, recent deals and potential buyers/targets
- Take an interest in and begin to lead sector-based initiative
- Request and act upon feedback on all areas of work
- Develop experience of teamwork in a CF environment
Qualifications
Usually either AAT / ACCA / ACA fully qualified. CF / Deals environment experience preferred but as a minimum accountancy practice history.
