After a key hire in the Head of Credit Risk role, the company is expanding its Credit team at an exciting and pivotal point in its growth journey.Role Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join the team. You will be instrumental in shaping credit risk decision-making and underwriting processes across the SME sector, focusing on loans upwards of £250k. This is a hybrid, Central London-based opportunity (2 days a week in the office).Key Responsibilities:Manually underwrite and assess B2B loans of £250,000 and above, ensuring robust and accurate risk evaluation.Conduct in-depth financial analysis and creditworthiness assessments for a diverse SME client base within the UK.Support development and continuous improvement of credit risk frameworks, policies, and procedures.Provide risk-based recommendations and collaborate closely with the Head of Credit Risk and broader credit team.Prepare clear, data-driven credit proposals and present findings to stakeholders.Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments impacting credit risk and SME lending.Contribute to the development of team best practices and mentor junior analysts where appropriate.About You:Proven expertise in credit risk analysis and manual loan underwriting for business loans of £250,000+.Extensive experience assessing credit risk within the UK SME sector.Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial statement analysis and risk assessment methodologies.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.What’s on Offer:Be part of a driven, fast-growing financial firm at a key stage of expansion.Competitive salary and benefits.Hybrid working model with a Central London office base.Real opportunities for personal and professional development.
