Estimator£50k to £70k per annumKentWe are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator within the Industrial new build sector to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes and cost control, enabling them to provide accurate estimates & takeoffs for various projects, including revised costs from client change orders and variations to contracted works . This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.Analyse project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather relevant data.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure competitive estimates.Prepare and present bid proposals to clients, highlighting key aspects of the project scope and costs.Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.Assist in the development of cost control measures and strategies for ongoing projects.RequirementsProven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost control practices.Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
