About Ignite Hubs
Ignite Hubs is an education charity for children and young people aged 7 to 18 years old. Our mission is to ignite the potential of young minds by widening their horizons and providing them with the skills, connections and experiences to access and pursue meaningful careers and lead fulfilling lives.
We aim to provide the best learning environment for children and young people from all backgrounds and abilities. We place a special emphasis on engaging underrepresented groups, including girls, ethnic minorities, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We currently teach coding, STEM and creative writing to over 200 students each week and have positively impacted more than 1,000 children and young people since we started. Our educational offerings include six weekly virtual classes and four weekly in-person classes during term time at various libraries throughout Southwark, SE London.
Our long-term ambition is to offer nationwide classes, workshops and events to children and young people on a wide variety of subjects under our five educational Hubs: Code, STEM, Innovation & Enterprise, Creativity and Health & Wellbeing.
Role & Responsibilities
We are launching a Student Ambassador Programme and a Youth Advisory Board in September 2025 to develop young leaders, and we are seeking a Leadership Development Specialist to design and implement a structured leadership training programme for our remote and in-person students. Additionally, you will work closely with our founder to create a corporate mentoring programme that will help students gain real-world career insights and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Develop a Leadership Training Programme
- Create a structured leadership curriculum covering topics such as leadership, confidence, communication, presentation, peer mentoring and coaching, collaboration and networking skills.
- Develop interactive learning resources and self-paced online modules for our Online Learning Platform, working with our Learning Designers to create engaging materials.
- Collaborate with AI specialists to integrate leadership assessments and personalised learning pathways.
Develop a Corporate Mentoring Programme
- Work with the Founder to establish a structured corporate mentoring initiative, connecting students with industry professionals.
- Develop mentoring resources, guidelines, and training materials for both mentors and mentees.
About You
- Experience in leadership development, mentoring, coaching, or youth empowerment programmes.
- Strong knowledge of leadership, confidence and communication skills training.
- Proven ability to design structured, engaging, and interactive leadership training programmes for young people.
- Experience with virtual and in-person training delivery, including self-paced and blended learning approaches.
- Familiarity with AI-driven learning tools, gamification, or digital learning platforms (desirable).
- Experience working with schools, student engagement programmes, or educational organisations (desirable).
