Manchester Freight Terminal Transport Operations Manager role.\\n\\n£45-48k depending on experience + bonuses \\n\\nYou will be looking after team of around 40 people, including 5 office staff.\\n\\nManaging warehouse and logistics sectors.\\n\\nThis is great opportunity with a stable and growing and national recognised business.\\n\\nProviding stable customer base, reliable and supportive team in office, good quality trucks, and new warehouse storage.\\n\\nModern offices, with parking at the front, opportunity to grow and develop career.\\n\\nAbout candidate:\\n\\nWe are looking for experienced manager, with a good background in logistics – understanding all aspects of transport sector with HGV trucks, not just vans, along with warehouse experience.\\n\\nCandidate with positive attitude, and success driven, proving training and support to the team.\\n\\nPerson who see bigger picture, team player.\\n\\nCommitted to the role, and a problem solver.\\n\\nOperational duties\\n\\nSetting of Margins and overhead budgets to report to the board.\\nWoking toward and exceeding core KPI's\\nFinancial oversight on financial matters such as purchase matching, timely invoicing\\nBe one of the main points of contacts for staff during the shift.\\nLook at the potential of load sharing with another vehicle at another unit to become more profitable as a business\\nEnsure that all jobs are priced and closed off & invoiced when completed\\nResolving any escalations / issues, acting as an intermediary between the customer, customer service & operations. Looking to get any issues resolved as quickly as possible & finding solutions\\nEnsure total compliance with all HR, Legal, Liability, Health and Safety, Security & Quality whilst overall ensuring complete customer satisfaction \\n\\nTeam management\\n\\nTo be able to motivate staff to deliver outstanding service levels.\\nManaging HR processes including absence-management, 121's, employee engagement and performance improvement \\n\\nAbout you and your experience\\n\\nWe are looking for a great all-round team player, able to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all areas of Operational Management as required\\n\\nYou will have experience and proven manager of people working in a Warehouse and Transport environment that is Innovative and Continuous Improvement focused, you will be able to apply strategy to operations effectively driving change through the team\\nExperience planning and managing budgets, and core KPI's\\nGood time management and able to work under pressure\\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills\\nNumerate with attention to detail & excellent organisational skills\\nExperience of managing HR processes including absence-management, 121's, employee engagement and performance improvement\\nFlexible to work shift patterns that may include weekends, evenings and bank holidays
