Head of Telehealth – Hybrid working must be able to commute to Bournemouth weekly and London every 6 months

VetSuccess, part of the IVC Evidensia Group has an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as the Head of Telehealth. VetSuccess is a multi-disciplinary business that supports vet practices to grow their business, with our online digital platform we manage their health subscription plans effortlessly. Our marketing team offers a full marketing service with pet owners at the core of what they do. Inbound and outbound customer contact centres provide excellent customer service as well as growth and retention support for vet practices. The latest string to our bow is our telehealth service offering 24/7 advice from a vet.

The role

In this role you will take charge of strategic planning, team development and operational excellence. You’ll be at the forefront of Telehealth innovation, leveraging your expertise to enhance services, ensuring our patients have access to high-quality, convenient, and personalised care from the comfort of their own homes, whilst building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will be a qualified Vet Surgeon who has exceptional verbal and written communication plus the proven ability to inspire, lead and develop high performing teams within the veterinary sector. You will have the experience of strategic planning and implementation of long-term objectives, strong decision-making capabilities with a focus on effectiveness, plus a high level of proficiency in managing organisational change.

We are looking for somebody who has good interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolution, stakeholder management and the proven ability to negotiate contracts whilst aligning business needs with external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regular contact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contract review and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical governance standards.
  • Creating and supporting clinical training.
  • Meeting potential new business partners and exploring new revenue streams.
  • Developing long-term business strategy to exploit opportunities within the regulatory framework.
  • Escalated complaint handling.
  • Contact with RCVS, VMD, VDS.
  • Other tasks as dictated by IVCE commercial and clinical priorities.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow Telehealth services, whilst driving innovation and continuous improvement across all services.
  • Identify and capitalise on opportunities to increase caseload and commercial prospects.
  • Manage the P&L and make key budgetary decisions to optimise performance.

Technical Knowledge And Other Essential Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Telehealth systems and processes.
  • MRCVS with a minimum of 5 years in UK clinical practice.
  • In-depth knowledge, and demonstrable experience in professional standards, regulatory compliance and clinical governance.
  • Proficiency in project management, from planning to execution.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Ethical decision-making and innovative thinking.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in managing escalated complaints and conflict resolution.
