The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Working within a team of Consultants, Specialist Doctors, Specialist Nurses and HCAs and junior doctors in training, the post holder will be expected to attend outpatient dermatology clinics. Review and supervise patients on the inpatient wards with dermatology issues. Management of patient histology and blood results and communicating these to the relevant Doctor, GP and patient.
The post holder will be predominately based at Royal Hampshire County Hospital but should also be prepared to work at any HHFT site if required.
There is no on-call commitment.
The post holder will be encouraged and supported to undertake further dermatology specific qualifications at Diploma level.
- Review inpatients where dermatology referrals have been sent; communicating with the team to discuss management plans, writing in patients notes, and prescribing recommended treatments.
- Undertake further patient reviews of inpatients as required.
- Investigating and initiating management for dermatological conditions, including online prescribing.
- Patient assessments in outpatient clinic settings, under supervision.
- Arranging investigations.
- Prescribing for patients.
- Writing clinic letters to GPs and patients.
- Promptly update patient systems.
- Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and presenting cases.
- Following up histology results and writing to patients.
