Position:

Are you a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor looking for more than just a job?

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, customer-conscious VDA to help us deliver best-in-class accident repair assessments with integrity and precision.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, fair, and profitable estimates using Audatex or GT Motive
  • Apply manufacturer or Thatcham repair methods and embed them into job packs
  • Communicate clearly with customers, explaining damage and repair steps
  • Identify and act on upselling opportunities where appropriate
  • Ensure relevant technical bulletins (e.g. Ford TSBs) are followed
  • Liaise with insurance engineers and suppliers to ensure SLA compliance
  • Mentor apprentice VDAs and support ongoing development
  • Order and receipt parts, ensuring competitive pricing and accuracy
  • Price-match and final authorise jobs, ensuring profitability and compliance
  • Support occasional mobile estimates and vehicle logistics as needed

Essential Skills & Behaviours

  • Experience in estimating within an accident repair environment
  • Proficiency in Audatex, GT Motive, and image-supported estimating
  • Working knowledge of Thatcham repair methods and BS10125 processes
  • Strong communication skills – with both customers and insurers
  • NVQ/IMI or ATA VDA qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Proactive attitude and ability to mentor or support junior staff
