NTM-GB Ltd is a well-structured and growing company, which develops, manufactures, sells and maintains Refuse and Recycling Collection Vehicles. We are looking for an experienced Fitter to be based in our production facility at our Kidderminster site.

A willingness to learn and ability to work to time constraints and customers specifications is essential, along with a working knowledge of using power tools, hydraulics, electrics. MIG welding experience is not essential but desirable.

The package is dependent on experience, but will include:

  • Competitive Salary - negotiable based on experience
  • Basic Hours - 39 hours a week, Monday - Friday
  • Attendance Bonus Scheme - £864.00 per annum (conditions apply)

The role will involve:

  • Supporting the Production Manager and foreman in developing a high standard of refuse collection vehicles
  • Ability to read drawings and carry out works in accordance with drawings supplied in build packs
  • A working knowledge of using power tools, hydraulics, electrics and completing MIG welding
  • Working in a timely manner producing finished products to build process deadlines
  • Ability to raise issues during a build process and record any changes
  • Actively capturing and recording information to be standardised and used in future builds
  • Support sub-contractors, such as Camera, Weigh, and other ancillary companies while on site
  • Monitoring build process and liaising with Production Manager and foreman so appointments for sub-contractors can be arranged
  • Completing all relevant paperwork
  • Assisting with the preparations for vehicle inspections and testing
  • To carry out and complete other duties as required in line with the companies needs

Whilst fulfilling the role the successful candidate will be expected to maintain good housekeeping practices and demonstrate responsibility for their personal health and safety and those around them, including risk assessing their own work to ensure safe working practices are being carried out and using Personal Protective Equipment as and when appropriate.
