We have an exciting new opportunity for an Experienced HR Advisor to join the HR Advisory team. You will work as part of a proactive, innovative and responsive team, to provide pragmatic HR advice guidance and support, on day-to-day HR issues. Location: The role will be based at our York Central Support Office, with 60% in-office time but some flexibility around in hours and days worked. Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full time Salary: Between £28,000 to £31,775 dependent on experience Benefits: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays – with the opportunity to buy a further 10, or sell 5, days' holiday, allowing flexibility for longer adventures, Health Shield Plan – savings on selected treatments and with selected retailers, Enhanced maternity/paternity pay The main responsibilities of the role include: * Supportingand managing a varied ER caseload * Providecommitted advice on a wide variety of employee relations, working closely with the wider HRA team for guidance and support where needed * Support ongoing casework for employee relations issues in a consistent and time efficient manner * Support and provide coaching to the shared services team with complex employee life cycle activities including maternity leave, long term sickness, changes to terms and conditions etc. * Provide support to the Shared Services team as required in their provision of any contractual documents for colleague journeys * Supporting our operational leaders to ensure all People matters are handled fairly and consistently * Demonstrating professional credibility through ongoing and reliable communication across our organisation. * Provide remote support and coaching to line managers in all areas of employee relations issues and colleague development * Where required support the HR Business Partners with business change activities including site closures, redundancies, and integration of new practices Do you have the following skills and experience? * Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice HR policy and practice * Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service * Ability to build rapport with key stakeholders * Excellent communication skills * Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills * Effective IT skills, including Microsoft Office This successful candidate will have experience within all areas of employee relations looking to support a more diverse and challenging caseload.
