Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Senior Engineer – Motorsport Customer Support (Electronics) in the Attributes Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.

Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated customer-facing track support engineer to join Lotus Motorsport at Hethel and trackside, at international race events.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Reporting to the Project Manager on a programme, you will be a key contributor to the track-side operation.
  2. As a customer-facing representative of the company, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, engaging confidently and knowledgeably.
  3. A self-starter who is highly motivated, very well organised and demonstrates a positive growth mindset.
  4. Extensive travel to International and/or European events will be required.
  5. Between track events, the role will include all aspects of project support onsite at the company’s Hethel based facility.

What You’ll Bring:

  1. Experience in a similar role at a professional motorsport level.
  2. Proficient with engine electronic systems / calibration / sensors / wiring.
  3. Experience with professional engine management software, such as Motec McLaren, Magneti Marelli, Cosworth/Pectel, Life Racing etc.
  4. High competence level with PC / typical software – MS Office (particularly Excel), Matlab, etc.
  5. Customer-facing skills & excellent organisation skills.

Additional Information:

This role will be working from our Hethel plant. Frequent travel will be required to visit different entities and the Customer Care Center based in Europe. Applicants must therefore possess the ability to travel freely without restrictions.
