ERP Business Analyst £200 – £300 per day 12-month contract (must be available to start immediately) Basildon – Must be a Car Driver due to client\’s location and 30 minutes from Basildon Full Time/Contract (Fully based on-site) Benefits: 26 days holiday; Life Insurance; Sick Pay; Pension Scheme Our client, an established family run manufacturing company, located in the Basildon area of Essex, is seeking a skilled ERP Business Analyst to join their team on a 12-month contract. You will help design, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure their financial database systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of our database infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in IT database management, optimisation, and troubleshooting. This is a critical role, requiring the ability to work with complex datasets, often spread across multiple Excel spreadsheets, to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement. This includes providing critical insights by integrating and analysing data from various functions within the business, including stock levels, pricing, purchasing, and sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of using SAGE or similar packages, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Duties & Responsibilities: Plan and execute implementation projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within budget and agreed timelines. Conduct system analysis, design product functionalities, and create necessary documentation. Develop and implement data protection strategies. This involves encryption, secure data storage, secure access controls, and ensuring compliance with GDPR and other privacy regulations. Configure applications, conduct system testing, and develop data migration strategies. Coordinating with internal & external stakeholders to ensure smooth programme execution. Address & resolve any issues / challenges that arise during the implementation process. Staying up to date with emerging trends in automation and software innovations. Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies that can improve operational efficiency or service delivery. Work with the companies leadership to identify areas where cloud technologies can drive innovation or automation in accounting practices.Your Background & Skill: A background within a manufacturing company would be advantageous. Proficiency in ERP system configuration Experience with continuous integration tools for efficient and streamlined project management. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Strong knowledge of relational database management systems. Experience with database design, data modeling, and performance tuning. Familiarity with database security best practices and tools. Experience with database backup and disaster recovery strategies. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong Excel skills and experience of working with accounting packages (SAGE 50).
