Trainer Assessor (Lifeguard)

The Role:

The role is for a RLSS UK Trainer Assessor (TA). The successful individual needs to be qualified to deliver and assess RLSS UK qualifications in:

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ 10) with AED.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ 10) Renewal.

This role combines teaching elements with rigorous evaluation of learner performance through observation, practical assessments, and portfolio review.

Key Tasks

Specific Duties will include:

• Deliver training sessions.
• Assess learner competency.
• Provide constructive feedback to learners.
• Maintain accurate training records.
• Maintain and update industry knowledge and best practices.
• Liaise with external auditors and submit all necessary records required.
• Liaise with employers and stakeholders.
• Deliver CPD sessions to pool staff as required.

Person Specification

The essential skills, knowledge and experience required are:

• Must have National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ10).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit high standards of professional behaviour, underpinned by strong interpersonal skills that ensure effective team work with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Be a professional representative of The King’s Foundation.

Other:

• The post will be based at The Tamar Manoukian Swimming Pool, New Cumnock, KA18 4AN.
• Variable Hours Seasonal Contract. Occasional weekend work will be required.
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
