Electrical Engineer | Bristol, 3 days in office – 2 days WFH | Outside IR35
I am on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer who can be involved in LV through to 132kV. The role will involve working as part of a team to Review Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Contestable Connection Offers and completing designs that conform to the relevant DNO policies, British and IEC standards.
Day to day:
- Produce the following reports/drawings:
- The design and conceptual design of both the grid connection and private network infrastructure from LV up to and including 132kV.
- Cable sizing studies.
- Switchgear selection and specification.
- Transformer selection and specification.
- CT and VT sizing studies.
- Battery Charger sizing studies.
- Small Power and Lighting Design.
- Control room/Switchroom layout design.
- Produce designs that follow EP policies, UK standards and legislation, DNO/IDNO policies and employer’s requirements
- Responsible for the issue of the deliverables in line with the project program
- Working on multiple projects simultaneously
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- AutoCAD experience.
- Experience in Contracting/Consulting or working with IDNO’s, DNO’s or ICP’s.
- HV/EHV experience.
- Working to BSEN, IEC ,IEEE & CENELEC Standards.
- Experience in Power Systems Studies
