Plater/Welder

We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components using various techniques and tools. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Plater will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet quality standards and specifications., * Fabricate and assemble metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

• Utilise power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and weld materials as required.

• Perform Mig and Tig welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely.

• Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

• Use basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.

• Proven experience in fabrication/sheet metal work or related fields is preferred.

• Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly Mig welding, is essential.

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools effectively.

• Familiarity with fabrication processes and assembly techniques is advantageous.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
