Chief Quality Inspector Salary: £16.00 – £20.16 per hour + £2,700 Team Leader Allowance Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM Location: Confidential – Precision Engineering Business Overtime Available – Paid at 1.5x before/after shift & Saturdays Are you a highly skilled Quality Inspector with strong CMM programming experience looking for a leadership role in a precision engineering environment? We are working with a business that is investing in its Quality function and looking for a Chief Quality Inspector to lead from the front! The Role: This is a hands-on leadership position, with a 70/30 split between CMM programming & Quality team management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met while leading a team of four inspectors (one of whom is on permanent nights). Key Responsibilities CMM Programming & Inspection: * Programming and operating CMMs (Mcosmos software preferred) * Conducting first-off, in-process, and final inspections * Ensuring compliance with customer & industry specifications Leadership & Team Management: * Overseeing a team of 4 Quality Inspectors * Providing training, mentorship & technical guidance * Driving a culture of quality excellence & continuous improvement Quality Control & Assurance: * Working to tight tolerances within a high-precision manufacturing environment * Supporting root cause analysis & corrective actions * Ensuring all relevant documentation & reports are completed accurately What We’re Looking For: * Experienced Quality Inspector with strong CMM programming skills (ideally Mcosmos software) * Proven leadership skills – experience managing or mentoring a team * Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings & GD&T * A strong problem solver & communicator, with a keen eye for detail * A quality-driven mindset with continuous improvement experience What’s On Offer? * Salary: £16.00 – £20.16 per hour + £2,700 Team Leader Allowance * Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM / Friday 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM * Overtime: Paid at 1.5x before/after shifts & Saturdays * Career Development: Work for a company investing in its Quality team & processes If you’re looking for an opportunity to take the lead in a high-precision environment where Quality is king, then we want to hear from you
