Salary: £36,742.15 – £41,338.25 per annum
Job Type: 37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year, Full-Time Permanent

About the role:
The Designated Teacher is a key role in supporting students who are Pre-16 or Unaccompanied Minors, leading their transition to COPC and progress while studying at COPC. The Designated Teacher will be the central point of contact with COPC who can manage the process of how COPC engages with others (e.g. Social Worker, Virtual School, Local Authorities), working in a joined-up way to minimise disruption to the student’s education and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the students have a voice in setting learning targets
- Prioritise Pre-16 and Unaccompanied Minors in one-to-one tutorials and ensure carers understand the importance of supporting learning at home.
- Track and monitor attendance and progression
- Lead the development and implementation of the student’s Personal Education Plan (PEP) within COPC
- Manage the transition of the students to COPC, ensuring effective arrangements are in place for the speedy transfer of information.
