Indirect Tax Manager, Glasgow

Meraki Accountancy & Finance’s market leading client based in the heart of Glasgow city centre is looking to add a Tax Manager to the current team. This is a key role within the wider finance function, and the successful candidate will be responsible for providing indirect tax advisory and compliance services, providing sound technical tax guidance, and managing tax-related projects.

Key Duties of the Role Include:

• Manage indirect tax queries as and when they arise from the business and wider finance teams.
• Support the Senior Tax Manager in ad hoc planning and tax-related projects.
• Indirect tax returns reviews.
• Management of the day-to-day VAT compliance.
• Support with indirect tax audits.
• Manage relationships with external bodies including audit and HMRC.

Experience Required:

• CTA / ICAS / ACCA Qualified with 4 years PQE.
• Strong knowledge of VAT.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work to challenging deadlines.
