Are you a highly organised, creative, multi-lingual individual? If so, you may be the right candidate to join our Rights team who are looking to fill a Foreign Rights Assistant position.

Quarto creates inspiring books for adults and children published across the globe. As a Foreign Rights Assistant, you will be a key player in helping maximise foreign rights sales and co-editions.

Contract : Permanent

Salary : From £25,500 per year

Closing Date : 21 February 2025

Working hours : 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. We currently operate a discretionary hybrid model; as part of your role, you will work four days in our London office and one day working from home.

About the role

You will be providing support to the sales staff, maintaining trading tools, and helping the team to maximise sales opportunities. Languages are desirable, particularly fluency in a language from the South/Mediterranean markets.

What you will be involved in

  • Liaising with editorial departments to keep the rights team updated with the latest material and information
  • Maintaining and updating book stocks and databases
  • Creating marketing tools
  • Assisting with the preparation of internal and customer meetings
  • Assisting at the book fairs

About you

You will have good attention to detail and be comfortable learning to use new tools and databases. You will need to be adept at multi-tasking and prioritising your deadlines. You will enjoy a fast-paced environment and have the flexibility to adapt to change.

You will be able to show you can:

  • Process and record large amounts of data and material accurately
  • Manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with internal colleagues
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Use Microsoft Office at an advanced level
  • Provide excellent service to both customers and the team
