An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Lead to join our Project Management Office team within the Aerospace Procurement function. The function is currently involved in the reactivation of a significant number of parts across all commodity groups and we have numerous exciting projects for you to manage.

Programme Lead
In this role, you will manage projects and programmes across our Civil Aerospace engines, Defence Aerospace engines, and Defence Marine products. You will lead the integration of the Design Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing teams from receipt of the customer requirement to delivery of the first parts to stores. You will work closely with the Programme Manager and others to plan, budget, schedule and execute assigned reactivation programmes, ensuring timely delivery of activities throughout the programme lifecycle. You will also focus on ensuring that project requirements are met to deliver Zero Defects when the parts enter production.

What You Will Be Doing
You will be responsible for planning and executing the delivery of programmes for aero engine parts and/or Marine products. You’ll look after:
- Planning, risk mitigation, and requesting the release of budget to authorise starting and stopping of all work. Review progress against plans to identify when corrective action is required.
- Be accountable for the successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work.
- Agree and initiate the necessary changes, including re-allocation of resources, with agreement from the Resource Managers.
- Act as the focal point for all aspects related to the assigned programmes and provide the IPTL / Programme / Project Manager with information necessary to manage effectively.
- Establish, develop and maintain the documentation.
- Administration and maintenance of the project plans and integrating with the programme master schedule.
- Capture, monitor, and report on status of the project lifecycle.
- Provide key stakeholders with information necessary to make management decisions.
- Employ continuous improvement techniques to ensure learning and development delivers business efficiencies and lean practices.
Who We’re Looking For

- Project management experience – we are open to experience from different industries and different levels of professional project/programme management experience.
- Ability to network across business groups and develop key relationships is critical to this role. Excellent interpersonal and project leadership skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organisation are required.
- A blend of analytical, interpersonal, presentation and project management skills.
- A sense of business acumen combined with good judgement and effective planning skills.
- An effective problem solver, able to act decisively to implement optimal solutions and feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Degree level qualification, APM and Prince 2 or equivalent qualifications – desirable.
- Experience with MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with MRP Primavera P6, MS Project – desirable.
- Familiarity with, Risk Analysis, FMEA, Project Management best practice preferred.
