Job Spec

The Intelligence Analyst will provide embedded user support for the intelligence application covering all aspects of the project from training and mentoring to providing first line support and some platform data management functions.

The Intelligence Analyst will themselves receive a comprehensive training package on the application as well as ongoing mentoring and support; as such, previous experience in this particular application is not required.

The Intelligence Analyst will act as a super user for the application and must make the user community their primary focus, conducting “floor walking” and proactively working with users to assist them achieve their objectives.

The ideal candidate will:

  1. be inquisitive with strong interpersonal skills
  2. be a strong, natural user of IT
  3. be able to communicate complex material in a clear and concise manner to a range of user abilities, including management
  4. have the ability to work both as part of a large team and autonomously when required

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide embedded mentoring and support for the application end users
  2. Provide first line support for the application to the end users and offer liaison for higher levels of support, the development team, and management
  3. Mentor the user’s knowledge of existing and new application features and guide them on how best to exploit the capabilities to enhance their product
  4. Deliver a range of training material and courses to the users in an appropriate manner from classroom to one-on-one tuition
  5. Capture user requirements for application enhancement and feed these back to the development team for assessment and where possible rapid deployment
  6. Requirements capture to enhance the capability with end-user feedback
  7. Work both as part of a team and sometimes autonomously, and be able to support some on-call working
