Retail Sales Manager (North)\\n\\n£45,000 – £50,000 OTE + bonus of up the 35% + Car\\n\\nNorth of England – predominantly Manchester and Birmingham\\n\\nPermanent, Full Time\\n\\nReady to accelerate your career in sales?\\n\\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Manager to join us to assist in the development of sales within the Retail Convenience sector in the North of the UK, focussing on Shopfitting Contractors, and independent Convenience store owners and franchisees.\\n\\nBase and geographical area:\\n\\nYou will be based at home with approximately 80% travel throughout the North of the UK. You will predominantly cover Manchester and Birmingham.\\n\\nThe area also includes Scotland & North Wales, however seldom physical presence will be required in these areas.\\n\\nThere will be on average 1 night overnight stay per week.\\n\\nThe role:\\n\\nReporting to the Head of Retail, you will focus equally on maintaining and developing existing customer base as well as identifying and securing new Shopfitting and independent Convenience store accounts within designated geographical areas.\\n\\nThe sectors you will be working within include: Small format Convenience and High Street Retail end users, plus Shopfitters, Flooring contractors, and Construction Project Managers.\\n\\nMain responsibilities:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Securing project specifications directly with independent Retail end users, and small to medium sized Shopfitting contractors\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assisting the Head of Retail in defining and implementing a clear strategy for the development of the Retail Sector in line with the company’s overall strategy.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Gathering market intelligence to help estimate market potential and market share of Gerflor and its competitors.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Attending appropriate exhibitions within Europe.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ensuring customer account and project data is kept up to date\\n\\n * \\n\\n Listening to market and customer feedback to maintain an aligned approach and competitive advantage\\n\\nAbout you\\n\\nThis role is suited to an experienced sales professional with a successful track record; it would be an advantage to have existing contacts and experience with a building products bias.\\n\\nYou’ll be confident in proposing and delivering strong practical innovative business plans and have a collaborative approach to motivate others but within a largely autonomous role.\\n\\nKey requirements\\n\\n * \\n\\n Solid experience in a new business development or a senior sales capacity ideally in the Retail Sector\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience of B2B selling\\n\\n * \\n\\n Excellent interpersonal skills and attitude\\n\\n * \\n\\n Flexible, dynamic, and highly organised method of working\\n\\n * \\n\\n Confident communicator – verbal and written\\n\\n * \\n\\n Passion for providing excellent customer service\\n\\n * \\n\\n Keen eye for detail\\n\\n * \\n\\n Results driven\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience in the retail sector – from selling to, or working within – Desirable\\n\\n * \\n\\n Understanding of the shopfitting and retail design processes – Desirable\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience of B2C selling and specifying – Desirable\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience of the commercial flooring and interiors industry – Desirable\\n\\nWhat we offer in return\\n\\nPotential bonus of up to 35% of salary based on a mix of business performance and achievement of personal objectives.\\n\\nLaptop / Mobile Phone\\n\\nCompany Car\\n\\n26 days annual leave plus bank holidays (4-5 days saved for Christmas)\\n\\nYour birthday annual leave day\\n\\nEmployee Benefits Platform (VIVUP) (inc. discounted shopping and Cycle to work scheme)\\n\\nAdditional annual leave purchase scheme\\n\\nGroup life insurance and death in service\\n\\nPension auto-enrolment after 3 months\\n\\nOccupational Health Services\\n\\nEmployee Assistance Programme – 24/7 free confidential advice\\n\\nDiscounted Gym Membership with Everlast Gym\\n\\nFree parking on all sites
