A leading food manufacturer in Downpatrick is seeking two Engineering Team Leads to join their growing team. One position has become available due to retirement, presenting an excellent opportunity for experienced maintenance professionals to step into a leadership role.
The Role:
- Leading shift engineering activities, ensuring all maintenance work is carried out effectively.
- Liaising with Production Teams to respond promptly to job requests and minimise downtime.
- Prioritising workloads to balance proactive maintenance and urgent repairs.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed, including Permit to Work, LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), and correct use of PPE.
- Providing leadership and direction to engineering teams during shifts.
- Working within a shift rota (including night shifts) and being flexible for weekend work when required.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment (preferably food manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance within a high-speed production facility.
- Understanding of Health & Safety protocols related to engineering and maintenance.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining high operational standards.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns, including nights and weekends as required.
