Job Description:
My client is a SEND secondary school located in Grove Park, Lewisham, and they are looking for a part-time HR Manager to work 2 days a week.
Salary: PO1
Working hours: 21 hours per week, term time only + 3 weeks (42 weeks per year in total). Part-time 2 days per week; 3 days would also be considered dependent on experience.
Qualifications/Training (Essential)
- Education to at least a Level 3 Diploma and/or experience in a similar role.
- Hold or working towards a HR qualification:
- CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) Level 5 qualification or above and/or CIPD Chartered Membership
- SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional)
- Human Resources Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Equivalent
MAIN PURPOSE:
The HR Manager:
- Is responsible for administration and management of all areas of human resources and recruitment as directed by School Business Leader, Headteacher, and Deputies.
- Assists the School Business Leader providing responsive and proactive people-related advisory service to all employees, Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and Governors on employment legislation, policies and procedures, conditions of service, and best practice employment developments.
- Is responsible for GDPR compliance across the school, ensuring associated policies are in place and staff are adhering to them.
- Is responsible for the administration of the Single Central Record.
- Is responsible for the Staff Census Return.
