Family Engagement Manager (Scale 2)

About the Role: Purpose: To lead the delivery of Pact\’s family engagement services at HMP The Verne and HMP Portland, aligning with contractual requirements, prison operational and security arrangements, and Pact\’s standards, policies, and procedures. To provide family-focused casework services, including assessments, advocacy, structured interventions, case reviews, and facilitating visits (both in person and online). To manage the Visits Centre and its staff, ensuring visitors have a positive experience. Aims: To promote the health and well-being of prisoners, family members, and significant others during custody and through the gate by: Delivering and managing effective, responsive family support services to maintain and strengthen positive family relationships, integrating them into prisoners\’ care and rehabilitation plans. Ensuring children, families, and prisoners are treated with dignity and respect, their voices are heard, and they are involved in service development and delivery. Working to improve continuity of care and support for family members, carers, and people in custody. About You: You will have demonstrated experience in coordinating broad services and working with prisoners and their families in challenging multi-agency environments, both in custody and visitor centres. You will possess excellent customer service, IT, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a demanding workload. Knowledge of safeguarding/child protection practice and the ability to build partnerships with various agencies are essential.
