A top global law firm in London is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its in-house legal team. This role is embedded within the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), which oversees the firm’s global risk management, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.Key Responsibilities Advise on the firm’s global corporate structure and governance, including secretarial matters and office lifecycle events (openings, closures, restructures) Provide guidance on regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, including policy development and implementation Identify and mitigate legal and business risks in contracts and operations Support compliance with global reporting obligations (e.g., Modern Slavery, sanctions, sustainability regulations) Contribute to strategic legal initiatives and risk management effortsCandidate Profile A Qualified transactional lawyer (England & Wales and/or New York), with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience Background in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal/risk team at an international firm Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly Skilled in compliance, risk management and legal training delivery Excellent drafting and project management capabilities
