Our well established Legal Delivery Centre (LDC) is looking to grow and appoint a team manager, who will lead the M&A due diligence sub-team and assist in the development and expansion of the firm’s LDC Due Diligence offering. The successful individual will manage 8 Paralegals, while ensuring a high quality service to the firm’s Corporate Practice.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Supporting (and supplementing) the day-to-day work of the DD team in delivering an exceptional service to the firm’s Corporate practice group, including by ensuring:
- Standard ways of working are adhered to
- Robust checks and quality controls are in place
- Work is properly staffed; and
- The team delivers to internal or external client requirements
- Supervising the majority of the team’s DD projects, including:
- Managing the expectations of those providing the instructions by tracking progress, anticipating and highlighting resourcing issues and providing sufficient and timely updates; and
- Acting as the initial point of LDC contact in connection with any issues and escalating as necessary
Assisting with the development and expansion of the LDC DD offering by:
- Building relationships with the firm’s Corporate practice group to promote awareness of the LDC’s DD capabilities;
- Liaising with the Corporate practice group to identify further LDC solutions; and
- Assessing opportunities to improve operational processes, documentation and training (including ensuring playbooks and other LDC DD materials are comprehensive and up to date)
- General line management responsibility for the team, including:
- Allocating assignments and monitoring workload
- Conducting performance reviews; and
- Identifying training needs and arranging/providing coaching where required
About you

Candidates who have 2+ years\’ experience working within a Corporate Legal Team, or similar setting.
- Able to manage and work well with people at all levels;
- Obtained an LLB or GDL or equivalent Law degree;
- Highly organised;
- Clear and effective communicator;
- Highly professional, with a dedication to exceeding expectations;
- Proven capability in managing buy-side and sell-side M&A due diligence, including multi-jurisdictional transactions; and broader experience of M&A transactions within a commercial law firm.
