Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Lecturer in Personal and Social Development at HMP Channings Wood. This is a permanent, part time role working 29.6 hours per week. Day to day duties of the role To deliver a high-quality Personal and Social Development curriculum or an alternative as led by the Weston College management team Organisational and administrative work. Preparation, assessment and marking. Developing and maintaining a full course file including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning. Developing and completing ILPs and contextual statements to monitor individual learner progress. Required skills and qualifications A degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work. Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills Excellent computer literacy skills including an up to date knowledge of Microsoft Office.
