(Automatic and Diesel Transmissions)
£38,000-£47,000 DOE/Overtime + company van + company bonus.
Monday Friday 08:30-17:00
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client, a leading multi-disciplined engineering business on a full time, permanent basis. You will be joining a highly skilled team working within the transmissions division of the company attending customer sites and breakdowns ensuring minimal downtime working on a variety of HGV and PSV as required. You will be working with the best, no two days will be the same, you will be well supported and quickly become a valued member of this dynamic, hard-working team.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required
- Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer with automatic transmission and gearbox experience (C&G NVQ Level 3 preferred)
- Working knowledge of Allison and/or ZF transmissions
- Diagnostic, repair, service and maintenance of automatic transmissions within heavy plant setting.
- Welding and/or fabrication experience within automotive sector preferred.
- Great communication and customer service skills are required due to working on customer sites.
- Team player capable of working effectively as part of a team and independently
- Awareness of Health and Safety standards and regulations.
- Full UK driving licence.
