Chef required for a Nursing Home in Kington, 40 hours per week. £12.50 – £13.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

* Plan and execute a diverse menu that meets the dietary needs and preferences of elderly residents, taking into consideration any special dietary requirements or restrictions.

* Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste, creating an enjoyable dining experience for our residents.

* Manage the kitchen efficiently, including ordering, inventory control, and budget management.

* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed, to maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.

* Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

* Collaborate with dietary specialists and healthcare professionals to address specific nutritional needs and concerns.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Chef in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred.

* Culinary degree or relevant certification is an asset.

* Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements for elderly individuals.

* Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

* Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

* Creativity and passion for creating appealing and nutritious meals.
