Our well-known and award-winning client based in Royston are currently looking for a Production Operative (Pre-Press) to join their fast-growing team, on a Permanent basis. If you have Print or Manufacturing experience, then this role could be the perfect next step for you. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are willing to learn new skills and adapt well into a new company and environment.
The hours of this role are on a Rotational basis. Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm. The salary for this position is GBP29,166 per annum (including shift allowance).
Main duties as a Production Operative (Pre Press):- Machine operating duties such as assembly of print cylinders, plate mounting, anilox selection and preparation, ink preparation, cutter and tool mounting, material loading and changeovers
- Strip down press/make ready for next job
- Check print job schedule running order to improve shift efficiency
- Maintain continuous improvement
- Strict adherence to production procedures and SOPs
- General equipment maintenance, and high levels of cleanliness
- Provide cover on press when required (following successful training)
- Load reels
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions well
- Able to work both individually and as part of a team
- Ability to learn and apply new methods and procedures
- Strong maths skills
- PC literate
- Previous pre-press/printing experience desirable, but not essential
- 21 Days Annual Leave, increasing after each year of service
