Estimator- Furniture Salary Range: £40,000 to £50,000 Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire – driving license essential Permanent: Full Time Profile Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, is a market leader in the Hospitality Industry.  They manufacturer and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza. They are enjoying significant growth and are looking to recruit a furniture estimator. Job Purpose You will be responsible for estimating a range of products & services within the company. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate incoming enquiries to ensure they are in line with company capabilities and capacity. Understanding and interpreting client’s drawings and tender documents. Providing an accurate assessment of the materials and labour required to construct furniture. Interpret client’s design intent to enable best manufacturing methods. Identify and offer value engineer solutions to align with client’s budget and expectations. Revise quotations in response to any design alterations from the client or end-user. Conduct handover meetings with project managers to ensure project is delivered in accordance with the tendered concept and to budget. Continuous interaction with our manufacturing and design teams to advance estimating skills and knowledge. Provide support to designers and project managers during the manufacturing and installation period of all orders. Essential Skills & qualifications Over 2 years’ experience within joinery/ furniture sector Ability to organise & prioritise tasks Attention to detail Actively develops strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues IT Literate- particularly Excel Good communicator, able to communicate at all levels Willingness to learn Flexible approach and can-do attitude.
