As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Contentious Probate Solicitor to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
Our dynamic, well-established and friendly Private Client Team is looking for an enthusiastic, driven and highly skilled individual to assist them in offering exceptional legal services to their clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, handling complex and challenging disputes involving wills, estates, trusts, and inheritance.
*We have a mature hybrid working model here at J&P, with a focus on a healthy work/life balance. This role can also be based in our Blackheath, Sidcup or Beckenham offices. *
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of probate disputes, including challenges to wills, inheritance claims, trust disputes, and contentious estate administration. You will have the opportunity to take on significant client-facing responsibilities, representing clients in sensitive and high-stakes legal matters, while benefiting from a collaborative and supportive environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You will be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE in contentious probate matters.
- You must have an in-depth knowledge of the legal frameworks governing wills, estates, trusts, and inheritance, including the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
- You will have proven experience in handling contentious probate matters and complex litigation.
- You must have strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues to clients.
- You will be client-focused with a strategic, solutions-driven approach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- You must be a qualified solicitor with experience in contentious probate matters or a related area of law.

- Solicitor Bonus: Up to 10% Solicitor Bonus.
