As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Junior Network Engineer / Network Technician to join our technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for networking and IT infrastructure who is eager to develop hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
As a Junior Network Engineer, you will assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving network infrastructure. You will work closely with senior engineers to support network operations, resolve connectivity issues, and gain exposure to cutting-edge networking technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Supporting LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks across different environments
- Diagnosing and resolving network faults, escalating complex issues when necessary
- Assisting with network security configurations, including firewalls and VPNs
- Performing routine maintenance, updates, and system checks
- Documenting network setups, troubleshooting steps, and IT procedures
- Supporting network expansion projects and system upgrades
- Assisting end-users with connectivity issues and providing technical support
- A diploma or degree in Computer Networking, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs)
- Familiarity with networking hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, or HP switches and routers
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Linux networking environments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- A willingness to learn and work towards industry certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.)
