A Business Systems Analyst / Business Analyst is required for a Specialty Insurer who through acquisition have just entered the London Market. The organisation are establishing themselves in London and are looking for an adept IT Business Analyst to join them in this instrumental phase, helping to support the delivery of technology solutions across underwriting, claims, and regulatory functions.
This is a key role for someone with strong systems knowledge and a background in London Market insurance, looking to join a business that is investing in digital transformation. The role will require you to be very familiar with a specialty insurance organisation, working closely with data scientists, actuarial and underwriters, gathering business requirements and translating those into functional workflows and platform enhancements, as well as supporting the systems integration. They are working with over 250 different systems following their acquisitions of MGUs and are looking for someone to help them strip this back to the necessary minimum. A knowledge of the London Market and Lloyd’s market is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and document business requirements across underwriting and claims.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and workflows.
- Support system integration, data migration, and platform enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s, LMA, and FCA regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Business or Systems Analyst in the London Market.
- Strong understanding of platforms such as PPL, ECF, Lloyd’s systems to provide the business the contextual knowledge they need.
- Experience with system design, data mapping, and integration.
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CBAP, ITIL, or PMP are a plus.
