This role is outside IR35 and offers flexibility on rate for the right individual.About YouProven experience in functional safety engineering within an OEM, Tier 1, or complex systems environmentStrong knowledge of ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or similar safety standardsHands-on experience with safety analysis methods and toolsConfident communicator, able to work effectively with design, systems, and validation teamsThe RoleLead and support functional safety activities across the full development lifecycleConduct hazard analysis, risk assessment, FMEA, and FTADefine and manage safety requirements and traceabilityWork with cross-functional teams to embed safety into hardware, software, and systems designSupport testing, validation, and preparation of safety cases
