About the Role

As an Associate Director – Concept Design Specialist , you will lead the development of visionary concepts for mid- to high-end residential and hospitality projects. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee a talented team of architects and designers to produce outstanding pre-concept and concept designs that set the tone for project excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Leadership : Independently lead the generation of innovative concepts and present progress to senior management regularly.
  2. Team Management : Oversee a team of senior architects and designers, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality output.
  3. Project Oversight : Define architectural drawing lists, ensure timely production of deliverables, and maintain design guardianship during subsequent project stages.
  4. Client Interaction : Present design progress during client meetings and address feedback effectively.
  5. Coordination : Facilitate collaboration between multidisciplinary teams and specialist consultants to ensure integrated and compliant designs.
  6. Visualisation : Guide visualisers in producing high-quality renderings, animations, and massing studies that communicate design intent effectively.

About You

The ideal candidate is a passionate and driven design professional with a proven track record in creating compelling concepts for high-end residential and hospitality projects. You combine creativity with leadership skills to inspire teams and deliver designs that exceed expectations.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Experience : 12+ years of experience in early-stage project design (pre-concept and concept).
  2. Sector Expertise : Strong portfolio of mid- and high-end residential and hospitality projects.
  3. Technical Proficiency :
    1. Advanced skills in SketchUp, Rhino, V-Ray, Lumion, and InDesign.
    2. Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Photoshop is a plus.
  4. Education : Master’s degree in architecture from a recognised international university.
  5. Professional Registration : RIBA or AIA registration preferred.
  6. Leadership : Experience managing teams of architects and designers, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
  7. Other Requirements :
    1. Strong client presentation skills.
    2. Knowledge of design standards, local authority regulations, and code compliance.
