We are looking for a dedicated Document Controller to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Manager and Team. In this role, you will ensure that team objectives and requirements are met, assist in developing Key Performance Indicators, and promote a safe team working environment. You will maintain knowledge of Cadent’s Core Policies and Procedures, efficiently coordinate team projects, and demonstrate our company values. The ideal candidate will contribute to continuous improvement and service excellence, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and show a commitment to skill development and an inclusive work ethic., + Document Management: Prepare transmittal notes, maintain documents, and assist with technical audits and project data book closure.

  • System Administration: Administer the document control system, including setup and use of SharePoint, and ensure periodic backups.

  • Data Handover: Support data handover to contractors and maintain document registers for various project-related documents.

  • Administrative Support: Record meeting minutes, provide administrative support, and ensure secure disposal of information.

  • Project Documentation: Set up and maintain a project documentation system accessible from all relevant project offices and site locations.

  • GCSE Maths and English, Grade C/4 or above (essential).

  • A-Level qualifications or equivalent post-secondary education (desirable).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.

  • Knowledge or certification in document control systems (e.g., Aconex, ISO 9001:2015) (desirable).

Practical Experience:

  • Experience in document management or administrative support in construction or engineering.

  • Skilled in using document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex).

  • Proficiency in standard office software with a focus on document management.

  • Experience in maintaining procedures and processes in compliance with quality standards.

  • Familiarity with construction project lifecycle documentation requirements.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize deadlines.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and team members.

  • Proficient in producing reports and supporting audits.

  • Experience in a team environment with problem-solving skills and initiative.
