Stratospherec are delighted to be recruiting for a world leading eCommerce digital platform company with their main software development team in Brighton and offices in the USA and across Europe. The company is expanding one of their core development teams who look after core parts of their eCommerce platform.
We are looking for a Software Engineer with a preference for back end development and skills in Python, Java, Golang, Node or similar software development technologies. This is a mid-level developer role seeking candidates with 3 years plus commercial software development experience to join this team working in Brighton. This role involves working 2 days in the Brighton office and 3 days working remotely per week. Salary is up to £65k with an excellent employee benefits package.
The Software Engineer will be building Python server applications in a service-oriented architecture and deploying them to Kubernetes. They follow innersource principles for code ownership and contribution.
- Minimum 3 years commercial software development experience.
- Strong experience with a language like Python or Java, C#, Golang, Node.js, JavaScript or similar.
- Back end development focused experience.
- Willingness to learn Python and develop in a TDD and OO development environment.
- Experience managing Git workflows.
- Understanding of Relational Databases, PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar.
- Experience with Docker both building and running images.
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum team.
- Comfortable with working outside of your main discipline in order to collaborate across your Scrum team.
