The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The service covers the geographical area of Warrington but will also involve some work across the Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust footprint. The primary function of the full-time AMHP role is carrying out Assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983, as well as providing support and advice to existing AMHP’s and assisting in areas such as local policy development. The preferred working hours for this role would be weekdays 10am to 6pm, in order to provide a good link into the Out of Hours Service.
There is also the offer that the successful candidate can make a contribution to the Out of Hours AMHP provision at an extra financial remuneration.
You will work within the legislation of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007), Mental Capacity Act and Care Act 2014 primarily. The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to work under pressure within a fast paced environment with experience of multi-disciplinary working. The role requires the ability to work flexibly and effectively in partnership with a range of agencies, working within relevant legislative frameworks to ensure positive outcomes for all Warrington residents who come into contact with the service.

As an AMHP in Warrington you will also have the opportunity for continued training, at present offered by the Cheshire AMHP Partnership, as well as attending monthly forums to allow continued professional development.
What’s needed?
The successful candidate must be a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional. The post carries essential car user/mileage allowances.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated AMHP. The post is a grade 8 position which also attracts a market supplement. We require the very best AMHP to work within the Warrington First Response Team to help deliver a high quality service, working with partner agencies in order to help provide a truly professional service. The successful applicant will work alongside the Lead AMHP, and other AMHPs, who also carry other roles within Warrington Borough Council., The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
