We are looking for a Project Delivery Engineer to join our Operation Transformation Programme .The person will make sure team’s work is well-planned and executed, optimizing resources and ensuring timely delivery to customers. You will leverage your expertise and communication skills to deliver specialist services within agreed processes and timelines. Trusted to deliver quality, you will promote a positive safety culture and resolve complex issues with practical solutions. By demonstrating Cadent Values, you will contribute to a customer-oriented approach and help direct strategy based on detailed analysis. Additionally, you will foster an inclusive environment., + Lead project delivery, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Provide project input during the pre-sanction design process, reviewing SHESQ management, risks, deliverability, and safety performance.

Develop and manage major new build projects, including programme, budget, SHESQ, and community stakeholder management.

Act as the key interface between the project and internal/external teams, developing key relationships.

Manage and coordinate contractors and project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specification.

Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with Gas Distribution SHESQ standards and regulations.

Provide regular project status reports, manage commissioning and performance testing, and handle complex third-party issues.

Degree or HNC/HND qualified

Full Driving License
Practical Experience:
-
EUSR safety passport, SCO awareness, CDM awareness, IOSH Managing Safety Certificate, SUSA/ESD awareness, and Formal Temporary Works Training

Experience with Permit Systems (PTW/FOA/NRO) and relevant legislation for complex projects
-
Knowledge of Accident, Incident, and Near Miss Reporting and Investigation
-
Understanding of HS&E Management Systems and technical documentation (drawings, material data sheets, etc.)

Experience in environmental management, ensuring individual competency, and producing/evaluating RAMS/procedures
-
Monitoring HS&E performance for gas distribution or transmission projects and conducting Technical Inspections

Familiarity with G17/G35 design approval/appraisal process and managing temporary and permanent works interfaces
-
Experience with NEC contracts, risk management for schedule and cost analysis, and project handover records/CDM Health & Safety file requirements
-
Relevant gas distribution industry experience and working knowledge of operational technology and/or integrated security systems
