Cubitt House is a proudly independent collection of nine beautiful, food-focused pubs in some of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods. With elegant dining rooms, vibrant bars, and boutique hotel rooms, each site is rooted in timeless hospitality and a deep love of good food, good drinks, and good company.

We are now looking for an experienced and charismatic Bar Manager to lead the team at Alfie’s, our buzzy first-floor bar at The Alfred Tennyson in Belgravia. This is a unique opportunity to run one of London’s most inviting pub bars, blending neighbourhood charm with elevated drinks service.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and inspire a passionate front-of-house team, ensuring exceptional service and warm hospitality
  • Champion our curated drinks list, from craft ales and fine wines to signature cocktails and seasonal specials
  • Collaborate with our GM and Head Chef to drive footfall, host events, and deliver memorable guest experiences
  • Manage stock, rotas, supplier relationships, and compliance to high standards
  • Create a welcoming bar culture where team members are motivated, confident, and proud of what they do

  • Proven experience in a senior bar or management role in a premium pub, bar, or restaurant
  • A natural leader with strong communication and people skills
  • A flair for drinks – you know your classics and love introducing guests to new favourites
  • Great attention to detail and pride in keeping a bar looking and running beautifully
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on standards, training, and continuous improvement
