About the Role
The primary focus is to support across supply chain and Bakery operations indirect categories for FBC UK. The role will deal with a wide variety of procurement activities including, sourcing, supplier negotiation, operational engagement and support, spend analytics, project and risk management and contract management. The role will also involve category management of supply chain (Co-Pack, Warehousing, logistics and Factory Operations etc.)
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations.
- Lead sourcing initiatives for warehousing, logistics, co-pack and bakery operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives and operational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain and procurement functions.
- Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and risks to develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and sustainability goals.
- Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance decision-making processes.
- Lead supplier negotiations and train internal stakeholders on negotiation strategies and legal compliance.
Who we are looking for
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in FMCG, Supply chain category experience preferred
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Confidence in dealing with challenging situations
- Strong excel analytical skills
- Analytical and numerate – attention to detail
- Excellent organisation, communication and negotiation skills
- Competent working with SAP, Excel and Word
- Team player, proactive and results focused
- Ability to travel to our sites. (Driving license required)
