We have a great opportunity here at Adler & Allan, we are looking for a Category Manager to join the team!
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, your main aim is to support all procurement-based tasks and targets across several different categories. A principal area of responsibility will be managing the strategic plan for the Travel Management, Personal Protection Equipment, Rent & Rates, Utilities, contractors, and materials. After an initial period, the responsibility will also focus on working with acquisitions to consolidate provision.
Leading on our Water Division, you will be sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services to meet the companyβs operational requirements in line with company objectives.
More about the role:
- Defining and implementing a strategic plan for the category, working with the Head of Supply Chain and others in Procurement to drive through the procurement strategy and deliver best-in-class procurement practices.
- Delivering the end-to-end procurement cycle for the category from sourcing to contract drafting.
- Controlling all spend within the category, securing best value and maximizing economies of scale from supplier expenditure.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to effectively manage contracts and performance, ensuring the needs of the business are met and working with key internal stakeholders across the business to give the procurement agenda credibility and visibility.
- Representing Procurement at meetings and updating others on issues or concerns when there is a risk that could prevent the organization from meeting customer demands or where there are overcapacity concerns.
More about you:
Bringing along your amazing experience in Indirect Purchasing, strong organizational and administration skills. You can demonstrate a proven track record of managing procurement categories in a multi-site business (24/7 working environments), implementing and embedding strategy, policies, and processes. Educated to a degree level in a relevant field, for example, MCIPS.
